PT. MRT Develops QR Code Payment System Method

Starting December, PT. MRT Jakarta will start to operate an application equipped with QR Code payment system.

The fastest, this application can be used in the end of November or early December

PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar stated, currently people can only use electronic money card to take MRT train. With the new application, his side expects MRT users can also ride MRT train by buying ticket via online then tap the QR Code at the special passenger gate in the station.

"This application will be equipped with QR Code facility to access MRT train service. Currently, we have accepted Ovo, Link Aja, and Dana. While Gopay is on process of cooperation," he informed, Thursday (10/31).

PT. MRT Installs Flood Detection Devices at West Flood Canal

This application also has supporting features such as MRT train schedule, updated information related to train disruption, and tariff. Thus passengers can get all information about MRT Jakarta in one application.

"The fastest, this application can be used in the end of November or early December, while the last is in early January," he mentioned.

During the testing period, only internal of PT. MRT in Lebak Bulus and Cipete Raya MRT Stations who can access this application.
